On October 27th, 11 people were killed during Shabbat morning service at Tree of Life congregation in the city of Pittsburgh. While it seems callous that I choose to write an arbitrary Halloween post instead of reflecting on current events, consider that America is not the World. I won't link to wikipedia about the incident, because like the Jews, I believe that history should remember the deeds, but never the name of the individual who perpetrated this atrocity. May his name be blotted out like Haman

The killers actions seem perplexing though. Tree of Life was targetted because of its support for HIAS and thus for supporting refugee influx into the United States, but 5 minutes of research would tell you Las Americas and the ALCU do more in recent years that HAIS. Pure antisemitism is also an insufficient explanation; another 5 minutes of research would show significantly larger Synagogues within five miles inside the city.

What is known however, is that the Jewish community continue to divides further. HIAS is under attack by the right-wing for helping Muslim refugees enter the United States as well as Jewish Africans immigrate into Israel. The Chief Rabbi of Israel Also refuses to acknowledge that Tree of Life is a Synagogue. Any analysis that assumes or assigns Jews as a monolith will at best have inconsistencies that weaken its argument, and at worst make absolutely no Fucking sense. See Ben Shapiro defending President Trump as an example.

Why bring up the anniversary of the Kristallnacht then? Because history continues to dangerously rhyme. On the one-hand, the American mid term elections produced an outcome where Trump's opposition has taken over the Congress. However, if the economy collapses, and investigations into Trump are fruitless, then Trump and his supporters will spin it as their fault, and Americans with a conscious will have to choose between leaving their country or staying.

Depending on your political stance, you may say: "BUT MEDIA SAY ORANGE MAN BAD"/"YOU ARE NPC WHO THINKS ORANGE MAN BAD". To the former, homeopathy doesn't work: You can't expect the disease to be part of the cure. Trump's free media exposure didn't happen because of the outrageous things he said during the election cycle, it happened before when he was a reality TV host. As for the latter, consider the following: A non-politician is put into a position of power, one considered to be the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. However, he has yet to visit them in their active operations zones. For all the praise Trump gets for having Skin in the The Game, he certainly has disrespected the fuck out of people who have their SOUL IN THE GAME . The probability of a military coup in the United States is non-zero. All it takes is a reversal of fortune for CEOs, and a MacRaven instead of a Butler to make it happen...

I will agree with one part of the MAGA assessment though. Trump is not Hitler. He's Paul Von Hindenberg without the military experience. We don't know who Hitler is, because Hitler is always secret.
